Minister of Health, Labour and Social Protection executives meeting with International Monetary Fund experts
On 23 of January, Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection executives had a meeting with a team of experts from International Monetary Fund, to which participated the National Health Insurance Company and the National Social Security Office as well.
In the beginning of the meeting, the International Monetary Fund experts mentioned that their purpose is the evaluation of the three-year program results and the establishing of a new program.
The Minister of Health, Labour and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbraveanu has presented the objectives and achievements obtained in the pension system, the social assistance program, the social care and services granted to persons with disabilities, elderly people and low-income families with numerous children.
The experts have approved of the results and expressed their agreement to support the objectives of the new program. They have observed they will continue the monitoring process and the evaluation of the policies promoted by the Ministry, in agreement with the World Bank.
Finally, they have mentioned the necessity of a detailed analysis pertaining to what has been discussed, in order to correctly evaluate the progress done and the new objectives.
